An accurate prediction of the system performances and the definition of the optimized process solution are powerful tools: engineering companies can perform a correct sizing of equipment/units and production companies can properly run their plants.
GASP has an expertise in modeling and simulation of separation processes, in particular of natural gas treatments: dehydration units, CO2/H2S removal processes (chemical and physical scrubbing, high pressure water scrubbing, etc.) as well as C2+ downstream separations can be simulated and optimized.
The deep knowledge of natural gas sweetening processes has been applied to the CO2/H2S removal in flue gas from power generation plants, tail gas in SRU, refinery gas and to the upgrading of biogas.
In the oil field detailed modeling of the different units from the basic separations (stabilization, light hydrocarbon separation, etc.) to the reacting units (GASP has a deep knowledge of hydrocracking) can be developed.
Recently GASP is gaining experience in downstream separations of the biotechnological sector, where equilibrium and thermodynamic properties often represent a crucial aspect because of their lack.
